I normally don’t leave reviews, but this one felt necessary.
On Christmas Eve, late afternoon, our garage door suddenly refused to close. At first I thought it was just cold weather acting up, but after trying a few times it became obvious something was wrong. The door was uneven, making a loud noise, and wouldn’t sit all the way down.
With the holiday, family plans, and kids running around, I honestly assumed we were stuck dealing with it after Christmas. I went online and landed on IGD’s website because they clearly state they handle emergency garage door repairs, even on holidays. I filled out the request form more out of hope than expectation.
To my surprise, they actually responded. Not a generic message either. Someone reached out, asked a couple of quick questions, and let me know a technician could come out that evening. That alone lowered my stress level.
The technician arrived when they said he would, took the time to inspect the entire system, and explained that one of the springs had failed and thrown everything out of balance. He didn’t rush through it, even though it was Christmas Eve. He replaced the spring, checked the cables, tested the door multiple times, and made sure it was closing evenly before packing up.
By the time he left, the door was working smoothly again and we could lock up the house properly for the night. Given the timing, I’m genuinely grateful someone showed up and handled it professionally instead of pushing it off because of the holiday.
