Our garage door opener from like the 90s finally died. It had been making this awful grinding noise for weeks and then just stopped working completely. Called IGD and they got Isaac out the next morning. He recommended this LiftMaster belt drive with the battery backup and smart features. I wasn't sure about the smart stuff but my wife really wanted it so whatever haha.
He installed it same day and set up the app on our phones. The battery backup thing is actually pretty cool - we lost power last month and could still open the door. And the thing is whisper quiet compared to our old one. Our bedroom is right above the garage and we used to wake up every time someone came home late. Now you can barely hear it. Fran from their office even called a week later to make sure everything was working good. That was a nice touch.
