Door Size
Single-car, double-car, and custom openings all price differently. We measure the width, height, and headroom to determine what fits.
Collection and Material
Steel, aluminum, wood, and composite each carry different costs. Premium collections cost more than value lines.
Insulation Level
Non-insulated, polystyrene, and polyurethane cores each affect the price. Higher R-values cost more but deliver better thermal and acoustic performance.
Windows and Hardware
Adding window inserts, upgrading glass types, and installing decorative hardware all add to the total. More glass means more cost. Amarr also offers magnetic decorative hardware that attaches to steel doors with no drilling.
Color and Finish
Standard colors are included. Color Zone custom colors carry an upcharge. Woodgrain prints and premium finishes vary by collection.
Opener Selection
LiftMaster openers range from chain-drive units to premium belt-drive models with Wi-Fi and battery backup. The opener is part of the total package cost.

IGD was great and would absolutely resend them to anyone needing a fix or an install on their garage door. My brother had used them for his new garage door install, but we got several quotes for ours that wasn't going up all the way to be sure we were getting a good price. IGD was half the cost of our other quotes and I'm much more sure the job got done right. The guy who came out to give us a quote took the time to explain to me everything that was going on (after spending quite some time inspecting every piece of the system for problems) and really made me confident that he understood the issue and how to fix it. In his explanation he managed to also point out why some of what we'd heard from other contractors would not work as a fix and ultimately cause more problems. Our actual install/repair day was quicker than estimated and now our door works great! If you want someone you can trust and who can do it affordably, IGD is a great option.

I spoke with a number of companies but Isaac @ IGD was the only one who presented me with real options to creatively maximize the clearance in my garage with a low ceiling height. This included mounting the motor all the way in the back of my garage and modifying the j-arm. Fran in the office has been wonderful to partner with and made sure everything from appointments to payments went smoothly. Worth noting that not all the creative details made it to install day, but a quick call helped sort things out and get the install back on track. I appreciate Isaac and Fran's attentiveness to helping me achieve my goals with replacing my garage door.

When I called back to schedule and Ashley not available, Fran picked up where Ashley left off and immediately got me on the schedule for next morning. Again pleasant and efficient, neither of them wasting my time. Just like I was told Sheffi called me in the morning to give me estimated time of arrival and then arrived on time. He very simply explained what he could do to repair my garage door, gave me a flat rate for labor and a flat rate for the parts. He made the repairs efficiently, showed me what he did, we tested the door and all was fine. It is a very old door and system and he gave me tips on how to make it last longer. I would contract with any of these Sheffi, Ashley and Fran again, they are who I am going to call when I need repairs or a new door. And they were the lowest price of 3 estimates. Sheffi was respectful and did not try to hard sell me. He only said he has the parts if I want to do it now. 1st estimate from another company was 35% higher, and the service person reduced the price 2 times trying to hard sell me after I told him that I was going to get another estimate. This guy was not professional at all. I basically had to tell him to leave. Then he called me and reduced the price again, almost 50% from where he started. Not doing business with them. 2nd estimate from a different company was also 35% higher than Instant Garage Door Repair-IGD. The service person was professional but didn't really seem to care if he got the work or not. Amarr doors are built to order, so there is a lead time between placing the order and installation day. The installation itself is typically completed in a single visit by our crew.
07 Do you remove and haul away the old door and opener?
Yes. Our crew removes the old door and opener, installs the new setup, and hauls away all old materials. You do not need to arrange separate disposal.
08 Is the estimate really free, and when do I find out the price?
The consultation and written estimate are completely free with no service call fee. We measure your opening, discuss the options, and hand you a written quote before anything is scheduled. Nothing moves forward without your approval.
09 What warranty comes with an Amarr door?
Every Amarr collection carries its own warranty. Steel collections range from lifetime paint finish with lifetime workmanship and hardware (Classica, Heritage, Olympus, Designer's Choice) down to lifetime paint with 3-year workmanship and hardware (Hillcrest, Lincoln). Aluminum doors (Vista, Horizon) carry 5-year coverage on finish, workmanship, and hardware. We confirm the exact terms for your collection in writing at the consultation.
